Abby's Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/2 C. + 7 T. Butter (melted)
1 T. Vegetable oil
1 1/4 C. Brown sugar
2 T. Heavy Whipping Cream
1 T. Vanilla
1 Egg
1 3/4 C. Flour
1 t. Salt
1/2 t. Baking soda (heaping)
12 Oz. Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate Chips

Equipment: large mixing bowl, cookie sheet
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes (DO NOT OVER BAKE, see below for more detail)

  • Melt butter; stir in vegetable oil and brown sugar
  • Add whipping cream, vanilla, and egg; blend well
  • Add flour, salt, and baking soda; once well blended mix in the chocolate chips
Watch these cookies carefully as the timing of when they are removed from the oven has a huge impact on their texture. They should appear a teeny bit raw in the center and done on the edges.
